Why are there additional fees associated with contact lens exams, and why do I have to pay them every year?
There are more tests needed to fit a patient with contacts such as keratometry. This is used to measure the cornea and to determine the base curve and diameter needed. This is extremely important as a wrong fit could cause damage to the cornea. These measurements are needed every year due the nature of the cornea and the possible harm that could come with an inaccurate fit.
How long is my prescription good for?

What is the importance of dilation?
It is the only way the doctor can give you a complete bill of health. All types of pathology can be found in your eyes including but not limited to diabetes, HIV, cancer, and other issues associated with trauma or age.
Is there an alternative to dilation?
Yes, modern technology has given us the Optomap. It gives the doctor roughly 80% of the same view as dilation without any side effects such as blurred vision or sensitivity to sunlight.

Within 30 days of your order only unopened contact lens vials or boxes may be returned or exchanged. No credit or exchanges are permitted on opened boxes or vials.
